The ketogenic diet (or keto diet, for short) is a low-carb, high-fat diet that has many health benefits.

The keto diet is known for balancing your blood sugar and kicking cravings and energy slumps.

Still, it’s nice to have the option of a few healthy snacks that fall into the low-carb or keto category for busy days when you have to skip lunch or after a workout.

1. Keto Porridge

Avocados are a great choice because they’re a whole food and very easy to eat also just as a snack. They can curb your appetite and make you less apt to overeat at your next meal. Just add a little salt and pepper and you're good to go.

4. Bulletproof coffee or keto coffee

There is a myth that coffee shouldn't be drank in keto diet. You can drink it but black with no sugar. Bulletproof coffee is a coffee with an extra fat in it, either grass-fed unsalted butter, coconut oil or MCT oil.  

5. Beef jerky

Beef jerky is a sun dried pure meat that you can either make yourself or buy ready to eat in a store. Make sure the brand you choose is no- or very low-carb with very few added ingredients. Be wary of anything with added sugars.

6. String cheese

Make sure it’s the full-fat version without added carbs or other fillers.

7. Keto Frappuccino

An icy frappuccino with healthy fat and no sugar. Just add a cream and ice into your coffee and enjoy this refreshing snack. 

8. Stevia Sweetened Dark Chocolate

If the dark chocolate is not sweetened with stevia or monk fruit, make sure it has at least 80% cocoa content or higher. Otherwise, the carbs can add up quickly.

9. Sardines

Sardines provide a healthy dose of fat and other nutrients, and they’re also zero carb.

10. Keto bars

Keto bars are delicious keto-friendly protein bars with only 3 g carbs net, without added sugar or additives.
